Privacy
The Ridderrennet Association takes the privacy of our members, participants, volunteers and partners quite seriously. This notice sets out how we collect, use and look after the personal information you share with us when taking part in our events, joining as a member or working alongside us.
Who is responsible
The Association's General Secretary is the data controller. If you would like to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, do get in touch at mail@ridderrennet.no.
What counts as personal data
Personal data is any information that can be linked to you as an individual: your name, of course, but also things like contact details, date of birth, photographs and notes about any assistance you might need at an event.
Members of the Association
When you join as a member, we collect your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, gender and email address. We use this information to report on public funding, to run the Association, and to tailor events and communications to suit you.
By signing up as a member you agree to this specific use of your details. When your membership comes to an end, we remove your information from our records.
Participants at our events
If you sign up for Ridderrennet, Ridderweek, Children's Ridderweek or any of our other gatherings, we ask for the information we need to welcome you properly. That includes identifying details along with any notes about accommodation, dietary needs, allergies and assistance, so we can arrange things for you on the slopes and off.
Signing up counts as your consent for us to use these details to run the event. We keep a record afterwards so that we can invite you back next year, and we remove it once it is no longer needed.
Volunteers and placement students
Volunteers and placement students share contact details and a little background information with us. We use this only to organise the event and to stay in touch about your role.
Cookies
This website uses CookieHub to manage your cookie preferences. You will see a small banner the first time you visit, where you can choose between two categories:
- Necessary cookies, which are required for the site to work properly.
- Analytical cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better.
You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings at the foot of the page.
Course and event registrations
When you register for a course or an event, we also hold notes about allergies and any adjustments you need. We keep this information so that we can invite you to future gatherings, and then delete it once it has served its purpose.
Your rights: access, correction and deletion
You have the right to see the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct anything that is not quite right, and to ask us to delete your details altogether. To make a request, drop us a line at mail@ridderrennet.no. We will normally reply within thirty days.
Making a complaint
If you believe we have fallen short of the data protection rules, you are welcome to make a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). We would, of course, much rather hear from you first so that we can put things right.
